Interlocked Crossing

Cross-SAFE Gates with Magnetic Interlock Kit
The above drawing shows a crossing used by vehicles and pedestrians, and a Rapid Roller-door used for vehicle entry/exit.
The Cross-SAFE Gates have the Magnetic Interlock Kits fitted and the TFC Control Box is linked into the Rapid Roller-door
control box.
How it Works
When a pedestrian opens the Cross-SAFE Gate, the Yellow LED lights at the gates and out side at the rapid roller-door entry
are activated to let vehicles know that a pedestrian is crossing. The rapid roller-door is also “locked-out” so it will not open
while the lights are flashing (pedestrian crossing). The gates are operated on a timer function to allow 8-seconds for the
pedestrian to cross once the gate is opened. When a vehicle is detected by the sensor, or the rapid roller-door is not closed,
then the Cross-SAFE Gates are magnetically locked and the Red LED lights are activated. Once the vehicle is no longer
detected and the rapid roller-door is closed, the gates are unlocked and the lights turn off.

Cross-SAFE Gates with Magnetic Interlock Kit
The above drawing shows a crossing used by vehicles and pedestrians, and areas where vehicles need to access a loading
bay.
How it Works
The Cross-SAFE Gates are normally closed, so when a pedestrian is wanting to cross, they press the “Activate Crossing” button. If the sensors
don’t detect any vehicles either in the loading bay or outside the loading bay, the Yellow LED lights start flashing and the gates open to allow
the pedestrians to cross. The gates operate on a timer function and allow 10 seconds for the pedestrian to cross. Once the timer has elapsed,
the gates close and the Yellow LED lights turn off, allow vehicle access. When a vehicle is detected by the sensors, the Red LED lights are
activated and if a pedestrian press the “Activate Crossing” button, the Yellow LED lights will activate, but system will not allow the gates to open
until the vehicle is longer being detected.
